After SPC12, I was pretty excited about the new possibilities in Project Server 2013 and SharePoint 2013 when it comes to managing projects and tasks. Between the new PowerView reporting capabilities on Excel, the richer integration with Project and the way you can manage tasks, it opens up a new realm of possibilities for organizations that work on projects - which is nearly every company under the sun. More importantly, these tools are intuitive enough for business users (not just IT pros or SharePoint gurus). If you are wondering whether this applies to you and whether you work on projects as a company, as a department, as a committee or as a group, the answer is you most likely are. By definition anything that has a start and an end date (a temporary endeavor), has a defined scope and has assigned resources is a project.
